I took a look at how the Top Four in the PL did this season in terms of results distribution. Felt like putting it into a nice little table, and voila!
It’s pretty straightforward, and should be easy enough to read for those that like data in tabular type formats. What started this was the realization that Chelsea had 8 (!) 1-1 draws this season, which is just so many points left on the board. Five (5!) of those were at home, too.
I did notice however that if we scored three goals or more, we won. Every time. Notice Liverpool had a 3-3 draw. Also notice only three times all season did we allow three or more goals: A 2-3 loss away, a 2-4 loss at home (gah!) and a 1-4 loss at home (GAH!).
Plenty to dissect here for those that want to dig in. It’s also up on the Twittersphere for those that are following me or interested there, too.
